We were extremely pleased when the Gods at Laptopstuff answered our
prayers and kindly donated a green 15” lapBag to us – well for the week anyway.
Not ones to waste time with such a precious object we
started using it straight away and we must say we were tempted to make a runner
with it. But being good natured girls we decided against it – well tickets to Mexico are just
too expensive these days.
Unlike guys who post their pictures on the internet, the lapBag
is even more gorgeous in real life than it is in its pictures, and resembles
the kind of designer bag we would beg steal and borrow to get our hands on.
The leather is soft and the straps padded which makes it
more comfortable when having to carry heavy laptops or objects.
As well as the laptop case that fits into the bag, there are
a number of compartments available for holding lots of bits and bobs. This
includes two front pockets, front and back zip compartments and two pockets inside
the bag. With the laptop case inside there is also sufficie
nt room to put in a
pair of shoes and a couple of pieces of clothes too.
Although we ended up having to discard the actual laptop
case as the laptop we were using was too big we felt safe putting it into the
bag without any protection - the satin lining is the type we wished our sheets
were made out of, i.e. soft and silky so we were confident that our laptop
wouldn’t be subjected to any scratches.
We were also impressed with the bags straps that didn’t look
like they would snap or crumble under the weight of our heavy laptop monster - once
again proving that this bag really is full of designer qualities.
As far as the bag is concerned we were mightily impressed,
it was just a shame we reviewed it with such a heavy laptop.
Oh well second time lucky - we welcome any donations for
small, light girly laptops.
Verdict: 5 (Clive Owens)
After lusting over the LapBag for so long we were pleased to
see that the arrival of it was not an anticlimax.
Although we previously grumbled about the pricetag,
the dual purpose of the bag does indeed make it good value for money - as it doubles
up as spacious weekend bag. However if you are taking it overseas we recommend
you use it as hand language – no, not because it won’t withstand the pulling a
shoving from the airline men, but because you never know who may be lurking to
swipe it off the baggage carousel….
I have recently purchased the smaller version of this bag which fits up to a 13" laptop, although I am using it for my MacBook Air which is 13.3 and it fits comfortably.
Really gorgeous bag, stylish and funky (I got the raspberry pink), room for all my other girly gadgets like my iPhone, digital camera and you could easily fit in a change of clothes too.
Totally love it and would highly recommend
