The Asus S6F laptop - pink, pink and more pink
Whilst we are digging our holes on the subject of pink, we might as well tell you about ASUS’s new laptop, which - yes you guessed it - is pink.
However, in our defence every girls knows how important coordination is when it comes to accessories and the Bendi keyboard has to be paired up with something…
The S6F "Pink edition" descends from Asus's leather family - which is like the Hiltons of the human world. Like Paris it sports an ultra thin figure and weighs just 3.4Ib – although this might be more the weight of her dog than Paris herself.
However, this laptop is no airhead, not only does it have a 1.66GHz processor but also comes with 120GB of storage and a built-in Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR transmitter which is three times faster than standard Bluetooth connectivity. For those of us who don’t know about speeds, this is probably the speed at which Paris’s friends would run if we threatened to feed them a burger.
In addition, the laptop also boasts an 11.1” screen and a complete range of input/ output ports including 5 USB ports and S-video TV-out port and express card slots.
You already know about how we feel about clever, skinny and pretty things so we will not go down that road, but we do have a message to the guys reading over their other halves shoulders - the girl in the picture is NOT included when you buy the laptop. Sorry.

Who is that girl? the model

I ordered my NC10 with the free shipping option (1-2 weeks) and it arrived in 3 days! Nice surprise. It came with a little neoprene case, which is great for keeping smudges away and in my case, cat paw prints! I also ordered the external cd/dvd (Samsung as well). I had an old leather dvd player carrying case and it fits perfectly with the extras, cables and even my ext. hd.
I love how quiet it is! Even the cd/dvd runs quietly. I got the pink netbook, with a little hesitation, but in actuality it's more of a rose color and the white keyboard is fabulous, especially in low light. The rose and white color combination is neither girly nor childish - it's very slick looking and very elegant. Doesn't look like a piece of candy at all! The matte finish on the keyboard is also nice - no smudges! Also, the no glare screen is a relief - hate reflections on the screen. Bad for the eyes! The glowing blue status lights are a very nice futuristic touch.
The weight distribution is very nice. When you have it on your lap it doesn't fall backwards. This little dynamo feels great under my fingertips. The body is sturdy, unlike other netbooks which feel like they could crack in a matter of months. The keyboard action is comfortable and the size is perfect for my hands. The battery lasts longer than I expected - I managed to get 7.5 hours with only limited applications running, and 6.5 with stream video and other applications simultaneously. I thought it would be difficult to get used to the screen size, but it wasn't at all. The touch pad took a little getting used to, but I got a small optical mouse and don't much bother with it, but when I do it's not uncomfortable. The pinch zoom feature, touching 2 fingers on the touch pad out and in, is nice, but I found it unpredictable. I just press Ctrl Shift to enlarge a page or - to reduce, and find it's easier.
The speakers on the bottom can be heard if you're in a quiet place, but unlike other netbooks I tried before deciding on the NC10, the sound with the headphones is awesome! Also, I use this netbook when teaching - I'm a private voice/instrumental teacher - and I use the internet as a teaching tool. I connect my NC10 to a flatscreen TV, connect the wireless keyboard and mouse, without moving anything around in the room. Some students think I have the internet through my cable because they don't see the netbook. Fabulous.
All in all a great buy. I'm very satisfied. Great as a teaching tool, great for work and great for personal stuff.

Cons: I've owned this laptop for 3 months now and while it's great to have all these bells and whistles I can't stand the Fan noise. The fan is running 100% about 75% of the time and it's noisy. Also the heat from this laptop is crazy. My dell 6400 insp. ran somewhat hot but not as bad as this. Like I stated above I'm still waiting for my copy of windows 7, but looks like this one comes with windows 7 already.

Nursing is not a science degree but rather training for a specific profession. There is absolutely no point in going to nursing school if you plan on being a dentist. It would be a waste of time and money and you would be taking a spot in nursing school away from someone who actually wants to be a nurse.
